Novato-based Cab.Corp. Wine Merchants has appointed longtime wine industry professional August “Augie” Sievers to the role of Midwest regional sales manager, in charge of an eight-state territory.

The Illinois resident boasts more than a decade of sales and marketing experience focusing on premium wine and spirits, including global companies.

Most recently, Sievers was Midwest regional sales manager for Gerard Bertrand (Narbonne, France), and before that he was a sales representative for Tenzing Wine & Spirits Company of Chicago.

Other steps in his career include time as Midwest regional sales manager for St. Supery Vineyards & Winery/Skalli Family Wines Americas (Rutherford, California), and key account manager for Judge & Dolph, Ltd/Wirtz Beverage (Illinois).

In addition, he participated in the Master of Wine study program, and Society of Wine Educators Conferences and is a current member of The International Wine and Food Society of Chicago.
