Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) president and CEO Craig Wolf announced the promotion of two long-term employees. Catherine McDaniel was promoted to vice president, government affairs, and Jo Moak was promoted to senior vice president and co-general counsel, corporate and regulatory.

Moak manages internal corporate legal matters and advises on regulatory issues facing wholesalers at the state and federal levels. She also oversees WSWA’s educational foundation, strategic planning and risk management programs, and helps to manage a number of matters related to finance and administration and meetings and conventions.

Before joining WSWA in 2006, Moak worked as an associate attorney with Hogan & Hartson, LLP (now Hogan Lovells) and Darby & Darby PC, where she worked on intellectual property, licensing and brand protection matters. Moak graduated from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C., and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. She resides in McLean, Va., with her husband and three children.

“Jo and Catherine are long-time employees of WSWA who have helped us grow the association’s political presence, expand our footprint as a national association, and increase the impact of our events, member services and philanthropic programs,” Wolf said. “These promotions recognize their commitment to the association and its members and will continue to enable WSWA to serve as a leading association in the wine and spirits sector,” he added.
