Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Promotes Cathering McDaniel to Vice President, Government Affairs

Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) president and CEO Craig Wolf announced the promotion of two long-term employees. Catherine McDaniel was promoted to vice president, government affairs, and Jo Moak was promoted to senior vice president and co-general counsel, corporate and regulatory.

McDaniel is responsible for the strategic development and growth of the association’s political action committee, WSWA-PAC. In the most recent election cycle, WSWA-PAC raised more than $2 million and supported candidates from both political parties in the House and Senate. In addition to running WSWA’s successful PAC, she also manages congressional events like WSWA’s annual “Toast to Congress” and other fundraising, philanthropic and community events.

Prior to joining WSWA in 2007, McDaniel worked as director, legislative and political affairs for the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA). She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and two children.

“Jo and Catherine are long-time employees of WSWA who have helped us grow the association’s political presence, expand our footprint as a national association, and increase the impact of our events, member services and philanthropic programs,” Wolf said. “These promotions recognize their commitment to the association and its members and will continue to enable WSWA to serve as a leading association in the wine and spirits sector,” he added.

WSWA is a national trade association representing the wholesale tier of the wine and spirits industry. With more than 350 member companies around the country, WSWA is the voice for wholesalers in Congress, the administration, the courts, with the news media and in communities across America.

Information about WSWA is available at www.wswa.org.
