Visit Napa Valley Welcomes Tom Bennett as New Vice President of Sales
Visit Napa Valley welcomed Tom Bennett as its new Vice President of Sales following the organization’s recent name change to Visit Napa Valley from Napa Valley Destination Council. Bennett has joined the company to strategically increase Napa Valley group and meeting sales with a focus on need periods.
Relocating from Laguna Niguel in Southern California, where Bennett was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Chief Sales Strategist at Visit Newport Beach Inc., he has also worked for ten years with the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau, giving him in-depth knowledge of both Southern and Northern California markets. Bennett has long been a fan of Napa Valley wine, food, golf, and outdoor activities, pursuits that should make for effortless assimilation.
Of his new role at Visit Napa Valley, Bennett says, “I have long admired and respected the generous and high-touch hospitality community throughout the Napa Valley. The entire industry looks to Napa Valley as the pre-eminent leader in what guest experiences should be. I'm looking forward to immersing myself in the culture here and developing the most meaningful and productive sales programs we can.” An expert in group sales, lead generation, business development, and cultivating relationships with meeting planners, Bennett will bring a fresh leadership perspective to the sales team.
Visit Napa Valley's CEO, Clay Gregory, remarks, “Adding such talented sales leadership will be a tremendous asset to our already talented and quickly growing team. We are thrilled to have Tom here to both refine and broaden our significant destination sales programs and are confident that our lodging partners will see valuable results from these efforts in short order.”
