Mendocino Wine Company (MWC) named Garrett Cosenza as enologist for its growing winemaking team. Cosenza will assist in every aspect of the winemaking process, including decisions about harvest and wine production. Throughout the growing and winemaking cycles, Cosenza will oversee the ongoing testing required both in the vineyards and in the winery for all of MWC’s brands, including Parducci Wine Cellars and Paul Dolan Vineyards, and help ensure MWC maintains its high standards.
Previously, Cosenza worked at E & J Gallo Winery as associate research winemaker. He will report directly to MWC Winemaker Bob Swain.
“Garrett’s unique experience is a tremendous asset to our team, and he will play an important part in helping MWC continue its strong growth while maintaining the highest quality,” said Swain.
Prior to working at E & J Gallo Winery, Cosenza worked as enologist at Frederick Cellars in Frederick, Md., and Quady Winery in Madera, Calif. Cosenza graduated from California State University, Fresno, in December 2008.
