Joseph Phelps Vineyards Appoints Will Phelps as Sales Representative
Joseph Phelps Vineyards is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Phelps as Sales Representative. In this position, he will support National Sales Manager KK Dirickson and Regional Sales Manager Jim Phelps with sales and distribution of Joseph Phelps wines in California.
Grandson of winery founder Joe Phelps and son of winery President Bill Phelps, Will becomes the second member of his generation to join the family business following the appointment of his cousin Elizabeth Neuman to New York Area Sales Representative in 2011.
“We are delighted to welcome Will into the family business. He has shown a great interest in wine over the years and will be an excellent addition to our team,” noted Joseph Phelps President, Bill Phelps.
Will grew up in the Napa Valley surrounded by grapevines where he developed a keen interest in wine. Following graduation from the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration, he traveled to France to work the 2008 harvest at Domaine E. Guigal in the Northern Rhône Valley. He truly fell in love with wine during this time period, especially Syrah-based Rhône wines. Will spent the next three years working at Trinitas Cellars in a Regional Sales Manager position with responsibilities in Southern California and the Midwest. Prior to joining Joseph Phelps Vineyards, he successfully completed a harvest internship at Paul Cluver Winery in Elgin Valley, South Africa.
