Hyde de Villaine (HdV), a winery partnership of the Hyde family of Carneros and their cousins Pamela and Aubert de Villaine (Director of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Burgundy), promoted Charles “AJ” Fairbanks to President. Rick Hyde will remain with HdV in the capacity of Director/Financial Officer.

Charles was the General Manager at HdV since 2006 previously working for the Santa Barbara marketing firm Evans Hardy + Young as a Senior Media Planner. He will oversee winery operations, wine production, domestic & international sales and marketing. Lawrence Edward Townsend III, CS has been appointed as HdV’s Winery Ambassador. Lawrence was formerly the General Manager of Westwood Winery in Sonoma and is an Advanced candidate of the Court of Master Sommeliers. His focuses will include on-premise marketing, sommelier hosted wine tasting experiences and offsite winery events.
