Greg Gauthier, VP of Wine Production & Sales, is pleased to announce that Florence “Nani” Butler has joined Bouchaine Vineyards as Accounting Manager. Nani will be responsible for accounting, finance and payroll functions at Bouchaine Vineyards, a Carneros district Napa Valley winery.
Nani began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Christian Brothers Winery and as a Marketing Assistant at Rodney Strong Vineyards. She also has served in accounting, bookkeeping, and management functions at Earth Technology Corp. and PSC Environmental Company. Most recently, Nani returned to PSC as Office Manager, HR Manager, and as a Customer Service Representative.
Nani, a native of Hawaii, said that this opportunity enables her to combine her skills in accounting and finance with her experience in the wine business in the Napa Valley. “The wine industry in the Carneros district of the Napa Valley is in the midst of a growth and maturation phase that will be exciting to be a part of,” said Ms. Butler. “Nani’s prior wine experience in the Napa Valley and her expertise in the fields of accounting and finance are a very welcome addition to our winery,” said Greg Gauthier.
About Bouchaine Vineyards
Bouchaine Vineyards features Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietal wines that have gained an international reputation for this southern Napa Valley viticultural area that spans Napa and Sonoma counties. The winery was purchased by Gerret and Tatiana Copeland in 1981 and has become the cornerstone of grape growing and winemaking in the Carneros AVA of Napa Valley. To increase their commitment to making extraordinary wines, in 2002 they hired the dynamic team of Michael Richmond and Greg Gauthier. Greg and Michael each brought more than 25 years of expertise to the historic property, from Michael’s founding of Acacia Winery to their managing roles at Chalone Wine Group.
Bouchaine continues today to apply common-sense sustainable practices to make interesting, layered wines with sensual delight. They follow three simple tenets: first, do no harm; second, be a good neighbor; and third, make the best, varietally correct, complex, and sophisticated Chardonnays and all things Pinot.
