The Yountville Appellation Association just announced its new Board of Directors for the 2012/2013 term.

Jason Keever of Keever Vineyards is currently serving as Board President. Mary Rocca of Rocca Family Wines was just voted President-Elect. Peter Mondavi, Jr. of Charles Krug just stepped up as Treasurer and Larry Pina of Pina Vineyards is the new Secretary. Also on the board are Jennifer Waitte of Tamber Bey and Carmen Policy of Casa Piena. Patty Altaffer recently joined the association as its Administrator.

Yountville was approved as the 11th sub appellation of the Napa Valley in 1998 and is comprised of 8,620 acres, of which roughly 2,700 are planted to vines. Although recently established, our appellation boasts a rich history -- the first vineyards in the Napa Valley were planted here by George Yount in the mid-1800s.

The Yountville Appellation Association, with over 20 winery and vineyard members, is a trade membership association charged with promotion of the Yountville Appellation.
