Rebecca Geschwender has joined Grgich Hills Estate as its California Sales Manager, managing the winery’s sales efforts in this key state. In California, Grgich Hills Estate is winery-direct, and Geschwender will direct the five dedicated Grgich Hills Estate area managers plus additional brokers covering the state.
Geschwender has more than 15 years of experience in the wine industry, including working for Southern Wine & Spirits, Wine Warehouse and increasing sales responsibility with Diageo. Most recently, she was Diageo’s Wine Director, Sales California.
Violet Grgich, Vice President and Co-Proprietor, commented, “Since Grgich Hills began 35 years ago, California has been our number one market and we’re pleased to have Rebecca lead our home state team.”
Located at 1829 St. Helena Hwy (Hwy. 29) in Rutherford, Grgich Hills Estate was founded in 1977 by Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and Austin Hills after Mike’s Chardonnay outscored the best of France in the now-famous 1976 Paris Tasting.
Today, this iconic winery farms 366 acres naturally, without artificial pesticides or herbicides, and uses its passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines. Mike is assisted by his daughter, Violet Grgich, Vice President of Operations, and his nephew, Ivo Jeramaz, Vice President of Vineyards and Production. For more information, visit www.grgich.com.
