Wahluke Wine Company (WWC), one of the largest family-owned winery and vineyard operations in Washington State, is pleased to announce Jeremy Santo as Winemaker for the organization. WWC, based in picturesque Mattawa along the Wahluke Slope, is owned by brothers and life-long farmers Butch and Jerry Milbrandt.

Santo, who started earlier this spring, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the winery under the leadership of Joshua Maloney, the Director of Winemaking.

“I am happy to have Jeremy join our team,” Maloney said. “He and I have worked together in the past, and I know he will be instrumental in creating beautiful wines. He really understands the nuances of winemaking.”

Santo follows Maloney from Canoe Ridge Estate Winery in Paterson, Wash., where Santo started in 2006 as an enologist and departed as assistant winemaker. His career in the wine industry began in 2003 as a lab technician at Snoqualmie Winery in Prosser, Wash., after he graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Nearly a decade later, Santo is excited to join Wahluke Wine Company and the Milbrandt family.
