Napa, CA, September 28, 2010 –The Napa Valley Grapegrowers announce the 2010 Vit Fair will take place November 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Napa Valley Expo Fairgrounds. Now in its 21st year, the Vit Fair is the premier venue for the wine industry to gather at the end of harvest to learn about the latest industry advancements, collect PCA credits at the seminars, view field demonstrations, and see friends and colleagues. This year’s focus is products and services geared towards increasing efficiency and improving your bottom line.
120 key industry suppliers will exhibit products and services at the show, representing everything from farm equipment to vineyard software. “Whether you grow 10 vines or 10,000, there is something for you at the Vit Fair,” noted Garrett Buckland, Chair of this year’s Vit Fair. “It’s a great time to celebrate the end of harvest, network with people from all parts of the industry, and get the first look at what’s new on the market.”
Seminars in English will include: Dr. Andy Walker of UC Davis presenting “The Latest on Leafroll, Red Leaves and Other Vineyard Viruses”; “Cover Crops, Compost, and Weed Management for Winter Vineyards”; and “European Grapevine Moth: New Research and Findings”. Spanish seminars will cover: “What All Vineyard Workers Need to Know about Grapevine Viruses” and “Essential Vineyard Practices for Winter”. 5 hours of PCA credits will be available. The day’s schedule is online at: www.napagrowers.org.
In addition to the A-List exhibitors, attendees may enjoy demonstrations throughout the day and at 3 p.m., everyone gathers for the wildly popular Wine Bar.
