(Chicago, IL) August 30, 2013 - Good Vines, a Chicago-based wine company, has made it their mission to make a significant difference in Chicago and around the world with fabulous wine. Good Vines is not only living up to that mission, but also going above and beyond.
Good Vines’ owners, Sean Thomas and Carlos Quimbo (left), have teamed up with Common Threads, a non-profit organization that educates underprivileged children about healthy living. Good Vines donates 5 percent of all sales to this amazing organization and due to their outstanding charitable efforts, Thomas and Quimbo are now board members.
Good Vines doesn’t stop there-They have recently teamed up with infamous artist, Tony Fitzpatrick, to further their cause with Common Threads. Tony has designed a new label for Good Vines’ special edition varietal, which will be produced at a 70 percent solar powered sustainable winery in California. This is the first varietal Good Vines will produce in the United States. Ten percent of the profits from this special edition wine will be donated to Common Threads. Good Vines has alway given back to the rich art community of Chicago and now they are working with Brave New Art World, an art unification movement dedicated to revitalizing River North’s art community. Good Vines’ collaborative office space is located in the heart of River North and by donating their wine to Brave New Art World events, they will help rebuild the community that has helped Good Vines grow.
