eWinery Solutions, Napa Valley POS, and ShipCompliant Offer DTC Seminar at Sonoma State

Presenters to discuss state of the industry--and what wineries can do about it

eWinery Solutions announces that they, along with Napa Valley POS and ShipCompliant, are offering a seminar at Sonoma State University on Tuesday, May 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. as part of the company's on-going education and outreach program.

"We are the leaders in winery direct-to-consumer business," says Richard Kline, founder and CEO of eWinery Solutions. "This is our latest effort to help the industry keep pace with the latest and greatest ideas and solutions for their DTC customers."

The seminar will focus on four key elements of DTC sales: how customers can discover you through SEO, advertising, or word of mouth; how you can engage them by having them visit your winery or website; the acquisition of business through winery sales, wine clubs, and on-line purchases; and how you can build loyalty with these customers through emails, Facebook, and winery events.

eWinery Solutions president Ron Scharman will discuss the trends and opportunities in developing online sales, marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM) in the wine industry. "The winery DTC business grew 10 percent in the U.S. last year," says Scharman. "It's an exciting time, and DTC sales are a very vibrant and active part of the industry. There are a lot of opportunities out there, and we will explore the possibilities."

Ken Vasko, senior manager of ShipCompliant, will cover the 2013 Direct Shipping Report, legislation changes, and the movement towards winery business intelligence. "There have been a lot of changes over the past several years, and it can sometimes be difficult to keep up," says Vasko. "We'll go over those changes, as well as how wineries can leverage DTC data to grow their sales."

Michael Meisner, manager of direct-to-consumer marketing services for eWinery Solutions, will discuss strategies wineries can use to boost online marketing efforts. "There are a lot of missed opportunities for wineries to increase their sales through online marketing efforts," says Meisner. "From basic SEO to reporting and content creation, attendees will learn how to drive their brand forward."
