Groove, one of Northern California’s digital marketing, creative and communications agencies, has just announced a reorganization of the company and the opening of its new headquarters in Sausalito, California and satellite offices in Norwalk, Connecticut.
The company, formerly known as Groove 11, recently moved from its previous location in San Rafael, California to increase visibility, gain access to additional resources and personnel within the thriving Bay Area digital community, raise visibility and provide a more convenient meeting point for current and potential clients. The new offices in Norwalk will service current and future East Coast wine and spirits clients. The move also signifies a strategic shift for Groove away from the B2B technology sector to lifestyle brands and products with emphasis on the beverage industry.
According to Sean Dunn, managing director, “Groove is the second largest agency in California’s North Bay region. We have an extensive portfolio of high-visibility wine, spirits and beer clients and have built relationships with more than 50 distributor partners across the country including SWS, Glazer’s, Charmer and Young’s Market. We also have developed national account relationships on the retail side, providing training and education to P. F. Chang’s, Killer Seafood, Delta and others.”
Groove’s current clients include Diageo, Treasury Wine Estates, Hahn Winery, Independent Distillers, Kettle Chips, Zagat, Napa Valley Vintners Association, Art.com and Southern Wine and Spirits.
Moving forward, Groove will be increasing its focus on the wine and spirits industry as well as related sectors such as hospitality, travel and consumer goods. Groove has added industry experts to its staff to ensure top level expertise in these sectors. New team members include: Sally Camm, a sommelier with restaurant, trade marketing and brand marketing expertise; Judy Meredith, previously a wine educator at Robert Mondavi and Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines; Kerrie Chappelka, an advisor who was the creative director at Williams-Sonoma for 12 years; and Peter Ekman, an advisor who has worked with Proctor & Gamble, Wine.com, Domaine Chandon, Crushpad, Cosentino Winery and Ascentia Wine Estates.
In addition to its marketing, creative and communications services, Groove has developed Wingman, an industry standard, tablet-based, digital “sales book” that arms distributor representatives with relevant and accurate sales and marketing materials that can be tailored to individual accounts. Wingman gives sales representatives the ability to clearly and accurately communicate brand priorities during every pitch and tasting.
