Press Release: August 1, 2012 – Saratoga, CA – Michael Martella and Michael Michaud, winemakers and proprietors of their respective wine brands, Martella Wines and Michaud Vineyard, are hosting a Grand Opening celebration for their new tasting room in downtown Saratoga Village, August 3rd through August 5th.

Called “M4: Martella Wines and Michaud Vineyard,” the new tasting room is located at 14598 Big Basin Way, in the same complex that is home to Big Basin Vineyards tasting room. Both tasting rooms feature outdoor patio tasting areas overlooking scenic downtown Saratoga Village, famous for its epicurean dining establishments, unique shops, lodging and spas.

Cinnabar Winery’s tasting room, which was the first to be established in downtown Saratoga, is in the neighboring building, making for an easy, one-stop winetasting experience in one of the Silicon Valley’s most historic villages, made famous by Paul Masson, who brought cuttings from his wife’s native France to produce world famous Pinot Noir and sparkling, as well as iconic Martin Ray, who established renowned Mount Eden. Other wineries, including Savannah-Chanelle, Cooper-Garrod and The Mountain Winery, are short drives from town.

The new M4 tasting room hours are:
Thursday, 3pm til 8pm
Friday – Saturday, 1pm til 9pm
Sunday, 1pm til 5pm

About Michael Martella and Michael Michaud
Both Michaels have been making wine for over three decades and employ distinctively different winemaking approaches that are reflected in their distinctly different varietal offerings.

Michael Martella specializes in Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, Grenache, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Zinfandel, while Michael Michaud favors Chardonnay, Marsanne, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese and Syrah.
