New Winery Book to Showcase at Bay Area Tyler Florence Shops

SONOMA, CA – Sonoma author and book publisher Tom Silberkleit will be signing copies of his latest book, The California Directory of Fine Wineries - 5th Edition, at two Tyler Florence shops on Wednesday, January 25 in downtown Napa, and on Thursday, January 26 in Mill Valley. A wine tasting, highlighting wines featured in the book, will also be held at each event.

This fully updated, hardcover edition—a full-color guide to both glamorous wine estates and intimate, family-owned vineyards—provides comprehensive profiles of 68 different wineries in Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties, including 24 new ones.

“The book focuses on diverse wineries that not only produce excellent wines,” said Silberkleit, “but are incredible must-see destinations, from beautiful gardens and 100-year-old wine caves to museum-quality art exhibitions, bocce ball courts and local olive oil tastings.”

This new 5th Edition was co-written by Sonoma travel writer Marty Olmstead and illustrated by Mill Valley travel photographer Robert Holmes, whose photos have appeared in National Geographic and Wine Spectator.

The following wines from the new book will be poured at the event: Handley Cellars, Greenwood Ridge Vineyards, and McFadden Vineyard, from Mendocino County; Frank Family Vineyards from Napa Valley; Jordan Vineyard & Winery and Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery, from Sonoma County.

In homage to Valentine’s Day, the Tyler Florence staff will also have samples of San Francisco’s artisan TCHO chocolate on hand.

For event information call the Tyler Florence shops: Napa 707-254-9977, Mill Valley 415-380-9200 and visit the book’s Facebook fan page for event news or CaliforniaFineWineries.com.
