Description: Amelia Morán Ceja, the first Mexican-American woman ever to be elected president of a winery; Herta Peju, co-founder of Peju Province Winery; and Delia Viader, owner and winemaker of Viader, will speak at “Women in Wine” to be held by the Napa|Sonoma chapter of Women for WineSense (WWS) and hosted by Silver Oak Winery in Napa Valley. Adding a fresh perspective to the discussion will be these industry leaders’ next generation daughters, Dalia Ceja, Lisa Peju and Janet Viader, respectively, joining them on the panel. Steve Heimoff, former wine critic for Wine Enthusiast Magazine and current Director of Communications and Wine Education for Jackson Family Wines, will have the task of moderating this mother-daughter panel discussion.
Silver Oak Winery will be offering guests a 25% discount on wines purchased at the event. Guests may enjoy a glass of wine along with appetizers created by Silver Oak’s Chef Dominic Orsini at the event’s reception in advance of the panelists’ main program.
During the event’s reception guests may also bid on several silent auction lots benefiting the WWS chapter’s annual scholarship fund drive which raised more than $10,000 last year. Some of the lots available for bid this year include luncheons at some of the panelists’ wineries along with private tours and tastings.
Open to WWS members, friends and the public.
