Description: The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, WSET has grown into the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications.
This course covers the major grape varieties and where they are grown around the world. Students are taught how to taste wine professionally using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. This course is the basis for the more advanced levels of WSET programming. It is a highly suggested starting point for trade members. This program is also ideal for consumers that want a full, encompassing understanding of the wine industry. In classroom and online sessions available.
In classroom: Monday evenings, Sept 23. - Nov. 11 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., $800 per student
Online: At home instruction begins Oct. 5, $600 per student
Both exams held Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. in Cherry Creek, Denver.
