Modern Wine Sales Channels
Apr 26
2013
Rohnert Park, CA
Registration Deadline: Apr 24, 2013
Event Type: Seminars and Classes
Description: Although the Direct to Consumer channel is the ultimate profit avenue, it can also have its challenges and can be difficult to grow or even sustain. On premise and off premise are traditional alternatives, but as wine culture in America expands, new sub-channels such as membership based or deal of the day websites continue to emerge. Being fully aware of the multitude of ways to sell wine is key in achieving the right balance in channel placement. This seminar will analyze the modern developments in web and mobile based, social media supported wine sales and help producers understand how they can utilize technology to support their sales efforts. Placing the right wine in the right channel in a rapidly changing wine world is becoming increasingly more important and this class will provide an awareness of the diversity of channels.
