Oct 26
2012
Rohnert Park, CA
Registration Deadline: Oct 24, 2012
Event Type: Seminars and Classes
Description: The numbers can be conflicting and there are so many publications out there. What are the most reliable sources of research and statistics? Which are the top publications you can trust about news and trends? This seminar will illuminate how to find reliable data and reporting, and touch on the range of statistics and how to locate them (and what it costs to have access to them). It will highlight the top wine business and industry publications worth reading and those consumer magazines that are worth a subscription. A veteran editor with 20 years of experience covering the industry will share her insights on these topics.
This seminar will also touch on a variety of current wine industry trends, how they relate to the economy, and how they are evolving, and on what is popular in terms of price points, varietals, and styles in the on- and off-premise sector, with an eye to staying ahead of the game (and predicting job opportunities ahead of the curve). It will feature a panel of wine writers and data experts.
