Description: The public is invited to join the Independent Grape Growers of the Paso Robles Area (IGGPRA) for a seminar titled, “The Bitter and The Sweet.” The seminar will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Castoro Cellars, located at 1315 North Bethel Rd. Templeton, Calif.
The two-part seminar will feature speaker Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D., Owner of Precision Ag Consulting on the bitter reality of developing the farm plan necessary to comply with the new Regional Water Quality Board Requirements. He will present sample plans for the audience. The second speaker will be winemaker and winemaking consultant, Signe Zoller. She will discuss methods of monitoring grapes in the field as growers prepare for harvest. This will be a hands-on, practical demonstration of commonly-used tests. The seminar will be FREE for IGGPRA members and $20 for non-members.
