Weathering the Weather--Preparing for a Cool Vintage
Grandview, WA
Event Type: Seminars and Classes
Description: This workshop, presented by WAWGG and the WSU Viticulture and Enology Extension Team, is designed to answer questions faced by growers during crop years 2010 and 2011. Topics will range from how to deal with high-acid wines, to how to cope with vine development and fruit ripening in cool years. An overview of Botrytis bunch rot management, from the field to the winery, will help growers and winemakers design action plans for future management. Updates on using AgWeatherNet and AWN based disease modeling (in real time) as an information resource for growers and winemakers will also be covered.
Please feel free to bring your laptop. Sign up for AWN during the morning or at lunch, and you can follow along "live" with Gary Grove during his presentation.
