Description: Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition makes its debut in January, 2010. Winemaker judges includes the legendary Merry Edwards of Merry Edwards wines, pinot noir and chardonnay specialist James Hall of Patz & Hall, and Eberle Winery's Gary Eberle, the Godfather of winemaking in Paso Robles.

The Winemaker Challenge is part of the "Challenge" series of wine competitions conceived by syndicated wine columnist Robert Whitley. It joins Critics Challenge and Sommelier Challenge in delivering evaluation of wines from the unique perspective of three important sectors of the wine industry -- winemakers, sommeliers and wine journalists -- often looked to for professional analysis. Its goal is to provide the best environment for wine tasting and evaluation. Results will be posted shortly after the competition on WinemakerChallenge.com and WineReviewOnline.com.
