Williams Selyem is a small, ultra-premium winery in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County, California, producing approximately 18,000 cases annually of hand-crafted, world-class Pinot noir, Zinfandel and Chardonnay. The team at Williams Selyem is passionate about crafting exceptional wines that express the uniqueness of the extraordinary vineyard sites and pride themselves in promoting a great working culture and safe working practices.
Williams Selyem has a limited number of 2014 harvest internships available for individuals passionate about Pinot noir. The Williams Selyem Harvest Interns work closely with the winemaking team carrying out a wide variety of hands-on, small-batch winemaking tasks in all facets of harvest work. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, vineyard sampling and sample processing, grape sorting and crushing, monitoring fermentations, punching down must, draining fermenters by gravity, pressing, barrel filling, barrel topping, barrel racking, additions, yeast propagation and laboratory analysis.
We are seeking positive, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals with previous winery experience that work well within a team environment, who are willing to work hard and clean scrupulously.
The internship begins approximately early-August and continues through October/November. Hourly pay rate is determined based on experience.
