Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery is seeking a part time tasting room sales person responsible for their downtown Healdsburg tasting room and boutique, Seasons of the Vineyard. 12-28 hours per week. This position is responsible for greeting visitors in an enthusiastic and friendly manner, pouring wines for tasting and promoting sales of wine and merchandise. This is a non exempt position.
Host visitors at the tasting bar by pouring wines, describing wines, winemaking techniques and
Offer exceptional customer service to ensure that customer's service expectations are met
Promote the sale of wine, wine club memberships and non-wine merchandise.
Handle routing purchasing transactions, which includes operating cash registers, handling cash,
gift certificate and credit card sales at any time during the day.
Prepare shipping documentation for wine orders, when applicable, following shipping compliance
guidelines and shipping procedures.
Open and closing procedures for the store, including cashing in registers and end of day registers cash out, reconciling poured wines, etc.
Maintain wine and non-wine merchandise, restocking shelves, maintaining daily supplies, maintaining supply of clean glasses and general housekeeping duties.
Assist with end of month wine physical inventory counts as needed.
Assist with Hospitality events and outside tastings. All Tasting Room Associates are required to
work all Ferrari-Carano hospitality events.
Associates may be asked to work at the Ferrari-Carano Tasting Room, located in Dry Creek
Valley, in addition to Seasons of the Vineyard.
Must be a Team Player and have excellent customer service skills to include excellent written
and verbal communication abilities. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask as required.
Retail and merchandising experience is highly desirable. Food and wine experience is desired.
Must be flexible and willing to work in a continually changing environment. Strong math aptitude as it relates to sales and cash register transactions is required.
Must be available to work weekends. Must be 21 years old, capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and
capable of standing for long periods of time. Must be able to work in and around a winery cellar
with occasional exposure to fumes and noises relative to normal winery operations.
