Winery Equipment Technician

Santa Rosa, CA

Job Description:

Subsidiary of a French company; based in Santa Rosa CA for more than 10 years. We specialize in vineyard and winery equipment (grape harvesters, sprayers, destemmers, optical sorting tables, etc). We are looking to increase our winery department by hiring a new technician.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

• Equipment start up
• Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical repairs
• Recognize and troubleshoot electrical repairs
• Test equipment and calibrate equipment to ensure equipment is functioning within specified
standards
• Maintain machines during winter
• Perform service calls in and around the wine grape regions of California
• Accurately record customer observations
• Present a professional appearance and handle customers in a positive and professional manner

REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS include but are not limited to:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• At least one year experience in mechanical repairs (does not have to be winery equipments, but would be a plus)
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Be able to lift up to 75lbs
• Experience in a mechanical or electrical service repair industry preferred
• PC literate; experience with computer or similar device preferred (Microsoft office).
• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills a must
• Knowledgeable and skilled in electricity, 3 phases 480V and control circuit
• Need good oral and written communication skills as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Stress & time management skills
• Able to work independently
• Must be highly flexible, able to prioritize schedule, and work on multiple projects while still meeting deadlines
• Must be able to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during weekends and nights equipment during harvest (mid August to the end October)
• Stainless welding experience a plus
• Bilingual Spanish/English would be a plus
• Ability to read hydraulics schematics would be a plus
