DaVero Farms & Winery is really different -- different story, different history, different wines, different products, different culture.
We're deliberately small (less than 5,000 cases, ultimately), have had our farm for over 30 years, and have been selling 100% direct for over a decade. We farm Biodynamically, making wine, olive oil, jams, produce and more, and raising chickens, sheep, and pigs.
Our philosophy is best summed up as "Grow what wants to be here." As a result, we are 100% focused on Italian varietals, because they are incredibly well-suited to our Mediterranean climate.
Now, with the completion of our own winery, adjacent to our tasting room just outside Healdsburg, and the release of a growing series of Italian-varietal wines that are every bit the caliber of our award-winning olive oils, it's time for us to expand our already-excellent team.
The person we're seeking will be responsible for all of our revenue, which will come through traffic generation, relationship building, sales team management and training, marketing initiatives, and, of course, personal sales.
The usual set of standards apply: you are faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, can lift 50 pounds over your head, are a very fast learner and comfortable with technology, etc. etc. You enjoy noodling through tough problems collaboratively, with all titles checked at the door, because making the right decision is the goal.
You love both wine and food, and will have a solid understanding of both. In addition, you're a bright, high-energy, experienced person, and a proven leader with terrific communications skills.
Our expectations are that you will lead our growth, and we will compensate you accordingly with both base and bonus opportunities.
