This position is based in Paso Robles, which was chosen by Wine Enthusiast Magazine
as the Wine Region of the year in 2013.
Our Client is a well financed and family owned winery. They have won multiple gold and silver medals in many wine competitions.
They produce many exciting wines beyond the basic varietals.
The owners are hands on and have a true passion for the wine industry.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will wear many hats and be the face of the winery.
You will be responsible for developing, negotiating and establishing relationships with distributors and brokers within California initially and then a few other States eventually.
Take a Proactive role in marketing and brand development within the wholesale and DTC markets.
Establish and Develop sales volume within each market segment
Organize and execute sales presentations to brokers and distributors, work with sales people
to educate and motivate them to sell your brands to all trade segments.
Recognize market needs and develop programs to accommodate them.
Manage all media for the brand, including social media channels.
Must be computer literate and able to drive business through the DTC channels.
Organize press trips and attend wine dinners.
Plan and coordinate special events, private tastings and winemaker dinners.
Oversee on-site sales and provide DTC sales when necessary.
This position will have one direct report who is the tasting room manager.
