Rapidly growing importer of premium European wines seeking a Division Sales Manager, Southern California.

* Reports directly to the Director of Sales, West
* Manages revenue growth in Southern California, with an initial emphasis in Santa Monica, Culver City, Beverly Hills and downtown L.A.
*Understands the process of building brands and manages sales from the perspective of healthy brand growth
* Responsible for working with the Sales Director to establish goals, forecasts, and sales and marketing plans for the territory
* Calls directly on customers and manages sales at the account level
* Coordinates with finance and operations team to manage customer accounts receivable
* Coordinates with the Director of Sales to manage inventory during significant growth cycle
* Establishes new customer account according to the specific brand channel strategies
* Develops business in key accounts in designated areas, with an emphasis on independent key retailers and key on premise accounts. Is able to cold call and build new business
* Coordinates with the Director of Sales for the execution of statewide or regional account programs within California
* Conducts wine education seminars for trade and consumers
* Works directly with suppler partners to develop business within the territory, and develops brand management skills through supplier communication and coordination

* Must reside in the greater Los Angeles area
* Able to travel internationally (posses valid passport)
* 3+ years of wines sales experience, with emphasis on sales within LA territory
* On premise and off premise sales experience preferred
* Sound wine knowledge and experience with premium European wines. Wine education credentials a plus (Sommelier certifications; WSET; Society of Wine Educators)
* Undergraduate degree
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Computer proficiency: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word
* Foreign language aptitude a plus (especially Italian)
* Ability to work in a high growth environment and be a team player
* Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of registration and insurance, and acceptable driving record
* Able to lift and carry 45+ pound case of product when needed
* Must be at least 21 years of age
