Technical Operator - Cutler

Job Description:

Responsible for operation and maintenance of lines on their assigned shift. Program, troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment in a timely, cost effective manner consistent with established operations procedures and requirements.

Candidate must be able to work in various capacities, specifically packaging equipment operation, welding, electrical troubleshooting and repair, mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Process operations consist of delivery of wine, operating and adjusting high speed filling/packaging equipment
Execute all Sanitation, GMP and QC practices
Drive lift truck/clamp lift
Perform PM's on all manufacturing equipment
Assignments are complex and require knowledge of various methods, tools, codes, procedures, and equipment/material characteristics
Candidate will need to demonstrate initiative, team leadership, and self motivation on safety, performance and quality
Execute operation and maintenance of all pieces of equipment on the line to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost effective manner
Maintain awareness of processes on the line and make suggestions and take action to increase yield and/or improve quality
Implement process improvements on the line
Must demonstrate to management an above average ability to analyze and take appropriate action on problems associated with bottling equipment
Must be able to troubleshoot electromechanical issues when they occur on the line including, but not limited to, installation, diagnosis, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment and electronic devices
Must be able to perform major repairs, overhauls, and installations
Assist with bottling final check of equipment
Must perform steps to comply with sanitation and quality control standards for the line
Set up and perform start up, shut down, and preventative maintenance on the line
Knowledge of all equipment operation and energy sources as related to safe lock out
Perform line changes

Must have three (3) years repetitive manufacturing experience.
Must have three (3) years mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Must have an extensive knowledge of methodical troubleshooting techniques.
Flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience operating forklift in manufacturing environment
Must demonstrate initiative
High School Diploma or equivalent
Support and model all company procedures and policies

Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet
Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, lift trucks, dump trucks, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc. May include the operations of any or all processing equipment including refrigeration compressors, chillers and condensers
Must be able to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
Possess the ability to work in a fast pace environment under pressure
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various task in the production environment
