Winery Exchange recently acquired a bottling facility and is looking for someone to come in and take the reigns to fully integrate the operations into our business processes. This person will have complete business unit leadership as well as day to day management of operations. Full responsibility for annual sales plan, capital plan, operating plan, staffing plan and P&L management.
The General Manager Bottling will oversee the activities of the Bottling Business Unit in concert with other company functions to manufacture finished wine goods that meet company objectives in safety, quality, customer service, volume, timing and profitability
Design and development of operations structure, systems, processes, standards and documentation for a company that is building a wine-production business unit.
Establish and implement objectives, goals and key measurement systems (KPI’s) to monitor and drive business results.
Ensure a safe working environment. Develop, drive and support business unit and company safety activities and initiatives.
Ensure production meets Product Integrity and Quality objectives.
Develop and implement procedures and documentation systems in alignment with ISO 9001 industry standards to position the business unit for audit readiness.
Develop and implement a robust Quality Management System in alignment with GMP and PPE industry standards.
Recruit, train and maintain business unit staffing to meet annual operating plan objectives.
Ensures programs are established and executed to provide continual training to personnel as required.
Establish a team-based approach and environment. Motivate personnel to achieve and/or exceed department standards and goals.
Build strategic working relationships with peers to ensure consistent flow of information, execution of procedures, performance of the overall operations, and to define and obtain IT and Decision Support systems to drive operational efficiency.
Interact with vendors to evaluate technologies, purchase equipment and services and resolve long term equipment, training and process issues.
Develop strategic business relationships with new customers to build business unit volume and profitability.
Develop and execute departmental budgets for labor, expenses, and capital investment.
Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques coming into use in the broader industry.
Develop and grow a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
10+ years relevant experience in food Manufacturing/Bottling/Packaging environment
Experience designing, creating and installing systems (e.g. procedures, continuous improvement programs, ISO certifications, etc.)
Ability to develop talent, inspire and motivate team members
Ability to plan, organize and control a complex, dynamic and highly technical operation

Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
