We're seeking a qualified Risk/Health, Safety and Environmental Senior Manager. This role is responsible for instilling a culture of safety, health and environment concern into all Americas employees ensuring a drive to zero harm performance through highly effective, minimally bureaucratic, fully integrated with quality and business continuity processes. This role will serve as subject matter expert for the organization in the areas of Health and Safety and will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating risk throughout the business. The ideal candidate will create a HSE framework that enables Americas management to critically evaluate, and consequently continuously improve, the health and safety performance of the business. This specifically requires:
-Taking a lead role in driving ownership in each position within the Americas organization
-Taking a lead role within the ongoing function of the global HSE Council;
-The implementation of monitoring and reporting mechanisms that allow the effectiveness of controls to be continually evaluated; and,
-The development of strategies to overcome identified barriers to improved HSE performance.
Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS degree in engineering, safety, heath sciences, or equivalent, or have equivalent experience in an occupational safety. We're seeking candidates with 8-15 years experience, with minimum of 8 years in Safety Management positions. Experience in industrial facilities required; food industry experience, previous experience in staff role involving multiple locations strongly desired. Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) credentials and bilingual (Spanish fluency) are preferred but not required.
