Wine by Design, a wine management and marketing agency is seeking an entry level marketing professional for retail/trade programs. The position will be located in New York and report to the National and Regional Off-Premise Account Manager.
Wine by Design created a new niche wine segment associated with professional sports teams. Current clients include a professional sports league, 7 individual teams with an anticipated portfolio of 20 new wine releases rolling out in 2015.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Off-Premise Account Manager and work closely with the Operations and Sales departments to ensure product release and promotion are seamless. Given the start-up nature, the position also overlaps into other areas outside the traditional roles and responsibilities represented.
Manage distributor product registration needs
Assist in writing sales and marketing materials to support sales programs in the field; sell sheets, presentations, collateral, POS and in market events
Ideal candidate must have 2-4 years experience in marketing/compliance role in beverage alcohol industry, with specific wine compliance and registration experience.
4 year degree in business, marketing or management;
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships both within WBD and across distribution channels;
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities at any given time in a calm and effective manner;
Able to handle logistical emergencies efficiently and professionally;
Strong presentation skills; able to present with confidence and clarity;
Excellent problem solving skills; ability to think out of the box and creatively;
and project coordination assistance;
Interaction with cross-functional teams including sales, production, operations and outside vendors;
Manage distributor samples program & retail marketing needs
Work with producer to manage product registration and timeline at federal and state level
Liaison for supplier inquires, and tracking and development of advertising programs and budgets for brands;
Coordinating and assisting with allocations, project requests, and project management to WBD’s creative services team;
