We are seeking an engaged, energetic and results-driven individual to help lead our Tasting Room team, manage our guest experience and oversee all Tasting Room operations.
The individual will be expected to lead a team in promoting the sales of our wine brands, promote and execute tastings and tours that create an unforgettable experience for all guests.
Candidates must have a genuine passion for giving world class hospitality experiences.
Success will also depend on focused outreach activities within the Napa Valley. We are looking to maximize our presence and consumer sales to the Napa visitor.
OBJECTIVE: Assume the management, maintenance, and leadership, of all aspects of the Retail Department in the absence of the Hospitality Manager. Responsibilities include; guest service, sales, education, membership acquisition, inventory control, daily financial management and staff supervision. The TR Manager will also assist in hosting on and off-site events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assist in developing goals and incentives for the Retail staff.
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Support the retail sales operations as necessary including; answering phones, email, voicemail, assist with maintaining physical organization and cleanliness of all hospitality related areas including case goods room and tasting room retail areas, back bar service and storage.
•Assist with all aspects of shipping logistics (i.e. entering ship orders, packing orders, making labels, tracking, updating compliance and policies in the tasting room).
•Assist with wine inventories, ensuring S.O.P.’s are consistently followed.
•Oversee daily cash management and reconciliation, including POS operations, management and maintenance.
•Take a lead role in the utilization and understanding of VIN65 to help achieve departmental objectives.
Guest Service & Hospitality:
•Host guests visiting our property to ensure each experience at the winery estate is innovative, engaging and sets a high standard that reinforces our brand positioning. Hosting duties include but are not limited to:
Tours, tastings, & vineyard visits
Accurately coordinating and scheduling visit details
Securing wines and any accompaniments; setup and tear-down of tastings
Providing follow-up and feedback when appropriate
•Host VIP consumer and trade visitors as well as large groups at our property. This may include hosting for specialty presentations and educational seminars (food and wine pairings, sensory analysis, etc).
•Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the various unique selling points of our products, properties, and production teams, accurately communicate this with customers.
•Provide ongoing support to the Retail sales team by helping process carryout orders, pack wines, clean glassware, stocking, etc.
Research and Analytics:
•Provide information obtained through guest interaction (industry trends, economic data, product feedback, etc) to leadership team to assist them in strategic planning.
•Research purchase and portfolio history prior to the guests’ arrival, when possible, to determine the most appropriate guest experience and collaborate with the respective managers, as needed.
•Assist with community outreach
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and history in our POS system and VIN65.
•Associates Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred.
•Minimum three years’ experience in the wine industry with emphasis on exceptional guest service
•Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

•Ability to make empowered decisions that positively affect the customer’s experience
•Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, POS, VIN65, etc.
•Excellent attention to detail
•Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
This is a salaried position. Compensation is a base salary plus monthly sales incentive tied to monthly sales goals and wine club sign-ups.
