Merry Edwards Winery in Russian River Valley seeks a National Sales Liaison. The position requires a demanding travel schedule in order to represent the winery in the national marketplace. This involves participation in consumer and trade events, work-withs and account visits. The successful candidate will interact with all of the winery’s distributors and importers, both in person and via communication from the winery in Sebastopol, along with hosting national account representatives on site. Responsible for maintaining depletion reports, preparing POs and fulfilling orders. Oversee mailings to national restaurant accounts and updates of those accounts listed on the website. The position will also provide support to other members of the winery-based sales team. Liaison will report to the National Sales Manager, who is an owner. High-energy, successful family business with emphasis on personal productivity, efficiency, flexibility and team interaction. Salary commensurate with experience.
Four-year college degree
At least five years’ experience in fine wine national sales
Extensive wine knowledge
Competency in Filemaker, Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent written, email and verbal communication skills necessary
Understanding of high-level customer service; organizational skills paramount
