About a fortnight after exploring, quickly, the appellation Corbières-Boutenac, I visited her for the other side of the lower valley of the Aude, Minervois-La Lavinière. On either side of the axis Carcassonne-Narbonne, which is located in the tectonic furrow between the Pyrenees Massif Central, two foothill areas serve as base Languedoc appellations binoculars, Minervois and Corbières. Inside these two fairly large areas, and necessarily heterogeneous in terms of the quality of the wines produced there, a group of producers in each region conducted an operation whose purpose was to get out their production, or at least a portion of an image problem and price that crippled them on the quality of the recognition plan, and therefore profitability.
