Nearly 40 wineries will invite guests to tour vineyards, enjoy harvest and crush activities, stomp in barrels, and wine and dine all weekend long at Wine Yakima Valley's Catch the Crush Weekend, Oct. 12-13.
The Premier Pass, $30, will allow holders have the opportunity to indulge in exclusive events while also receiving discounts and waived fees on tastings, experiences and wine purchases all weekend long. Passes can be purchased at www.wineyakimavalley.org

Tasting fee waived for Premier Pass holders, plus the opportunity to try a library wine and participate in a 30-minute educational tasting class comparing a barrel or tank sample with a bottled current release and a library wine all of the same varietal. (Class offered Saturday only at noon and again at 3:00.) Pass holders will also receive a 10 percent dining discount in Mojave on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if they present their Premier Pass to their server prior to checkout.
Goose Ridge Estate Vineyards & Winery
Join us for "Crush Spectacular" at Goose Ridge Estate Winery. We will have spectacular wine prices and special case discounts that are sure to please. You can even try your skill on our Bocce courts which will be open for play. Premier Pass holders receive free entry, a sample of our Reserve Malbec and a 10 percent discount on all regular priced wine purchases. Hours: 11-5 Saturday & Sunday
J Bell Cellars & Lavender
Join us for “Days of Harvest” Party: live music, food and lots of fun. Premier pass holders will receive taste of our limited release blend “Mr. Dyer” available to Founders Club members only as well as 15% off on purchases of select wines.
Kiona Vineyards and Winery
Kiona will be offering tours of the crush pad and winemaking facility with the winemakers.
Kitzke Cellars will waive the fee for pass holders. Enjoy tasting the different varietals of grapes in the vineyard as well as tasting our wine on the patio with a lovely view from Candy Mountain of the Tri- Cities. Take a walk in the vineyard with a cheese and wine stop along the way. There is something so very relaxing about being outside in the vineyard! Case specials will be available.

Premier Pass holders will be able to taste our Federweisser (the newly fermenting white wine) as well as our reserve wines, without paying the reserve tasting fee. They will be able to purchase a slice of the Zwiebelkuchen throughout the day. This combination of the new wine and the onion tart, is a German harvest tradition, which we have had at Steppe since our first crush. In addition, Premier Pass holders will get a $5 discount on our Harvest Dinner tickets. The Harvest Dinner will include a first course of the Federweisser (fermenting white wine) and Zwiebelkuchen (onion tart) as well as a sampling of some of the season's ripe wine grapes. Each of the courses of the Harvest Dinner are made with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients and carefully paired with Steppe wine.
For Catch the Crush this year we will be doing a “Tagaris Brand Blowout” meaning all Tagaris Brand wines excluding our reserves will be 20 percent off to the general public and 30 percent off for existing Wine Club Members.
Premier Pass holders will enjoy a free regular tasting including our estate grown Picpoul Blanc for Catch the Crush. Are we commemorating the first-known ascent in hot-air balloon by Bartolomeu de Gusmao (indoors) in 1709? Maybe. Are we celebrating the magic of Tanjuli by releasing a crisp semi-sweet white wine that is perfect for a hot summer day? Definitely! Come join us and savor the flavor.
Tapteil Vineyard Winery
Stomp grapes at Tapteil Vineyard Winery while enjoying a sweeping panoramic view of the Red Mountain AVA and the entire Yakima River Valley from this hilltop terrace. This is a photo op straight out of I Love Lucy complete with a grapevine crown. Bring a camera and a picnic. Taste estate grown wines and imported olive oil and vinegars in the tasting room. Winemaker and grape grower, Larry Pearson and label artist, Jane Pearson will be on hand to chat during your visit. A $5 tasting fee will be waived for Premier Pass holders.

Thurston Wolfe will be featuring the new release of 2011 red wines and a special release of the 2009 Geologist.
Treveri Sparkling Cellars
October Harvest Happy Hour Friday night, Oct. 11. Fresh tapas menu by Rich Sisters, live music and sparkling wine by the glass and sparkling wine cocktails. Premier Pass holders will get a 15 percent case discount and access to purchasing some of our specialty lots. Lots to be determined.

Special event pricing offered on new release wines of 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2008 Syrah. Blue Barn Farm will be here sampling and selling several flavors of their locally made goat cheese including spicy and chocolate.
Yakima Valley Vintners
You are invited to a complimentary educational tour of the Teaching Winery. Visitors will be guided on a crush pad, where you will be able to sample grapes and comparative wines. Come taste the award-winning student made wines and receive a 10 percent discount by the bottle or 15 percent discount by the case.
