Across our newsdesk this morning from Wine Institute:

U.S. wine exports, 90% from California, increased 6% by value to $712 million January-June 2013, compared to the same time period the previous year, according to Global Trade Information Services. Case shipment volume was down 1.4% to 214.8 million liters for six months through the end of June. Wine Institute has set a goal of reaching $2 billion in wine exports by 2020 and the six-month figures are on track to break export value records for the fourth-straight year.
