eWinery Solutions and Vintners' Alliance hosted a direct-to-consumer symposium at Sonoma State University last night in the Darwin Hall on the Rohnert Park Campus. The symposium covered monitoring, marketing, and modeling wine club membership, with an emphasis on collecting and analyzing data.

Ahin Thomas (left) of Vintners' Alliance and Richard Kline of eWinery Solutions spoke, arguing that the best way to be proactive in building and maintaining your wine club is by looking to the past—by using data to fix problems.

Steven Cueller, professor of Microeconomic Theory, Labor Economics, Public Economics at Sonoma State University introduced a new way of measuring wine club attrition that is said to be more accurate.
