Barry Gnekow, winemaking consultant, who has made over 3,000 barrels of wine using flash juice, said:

“American winemakers are very late to this process. It was invented by the French. Don’t tell me they don’t know how to make wine. There are over a 100 flashing units throughout the world. We just got our first one in 2009.”
