September 10, 2012: Upland Vineyards, Snipes Mountain: Started off harvest with Sauvignon Blanc on September 5. Will start Syrah on September 14 with Merlot, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay soon to follow.

September 10, 2012: Recent sample from Upland Vineyard on Snipes Mountain: Cabernet Sauvignon at 23.0 Brix - very early site. Estimated harvest date: September 22nd.

September 11, 2012: Milbrandt Vineyards. We've started bringing into the winery Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc from some of our growers. Above is a photo of Grenache grapes from our Clifton Bluff Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope waiting to be harvested.

Desert Wind Winery We are looking like we will begin with the Sauvignon Blanc mid-week next week, followed by Chardonnay and Syrah next weekend. So far we are seeing lower acidity than last year, which the winemaking team is excited about.
