On September 4, partners Bob Schiebelhut, Jim Efird and Robin Baggett announced that they have changed the name of their custom crush facility in San Luis Obispo, CA from Courtside Cellars to Phase 2 Cellars.

Since 1998, the partners have operated two custom crush facilities under the name of Courtside Cellars- one in San Miguel and the other in San Luis Obispo. On August 14th, 2012 they sold their San Miguel Facility to E & J Gallo Winery, which is keeping the name Courtside Cellars for the San Miguel Winery.

The sale did not include their San Luis Obispo facility or their Tolosa Winery brand and estate vineyards. The Tolosa brand and the newly named Phase 2 Cellars will remain locally owned. Bob Schiebelhut states, "By now focusing all of our efforts and resources on our San Luis Obispo facility and the Tolosa Brand, we truly are entering a new phase for our partnership, thus the name Phase 2 Cellars."
