Applications for the Institute of Masters of Wine’s 2012/13 Study Programme opened at 1000 BST on Friday 13 July.

Wine trade professionals who aspire to the world’s most prestigious wine trade qualification can apply to the Institute via the website at www.mastersofwine.org

The application process includes a practical tasting element as well as a demonstration of a grasp of theory by means of an essay. Applicants are also required to show their relevant experience by sharing their personal, educational and employment history, and supply a reference either from a Master of Wine or a senior member of the wine industry.
