The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association announces:

The Texas Agricultural Finance Authority Young Farmer Grant program has $150,000 available for Young Farmer Grants to expand or enhance agricultural production in Texas. To be eligible for the grants, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, agricultural producers must be at least 18 and less than 46 years old.

Original, signed applications must be received in the offices of the Texas Department of Agriculture by 5 p.m. on May 3. No electronic, incomplete or late applications will be considered. Complete program information and the application is available at the Young Farmer Grant website.

These competitive, reimbursement grants will be awarded by the TAFA Board at their next meeting in July. At the last TAFA Board meeting, the Board awarded 15 Young Farmer Grants of $10,000 each.
